Tonbridge Modern Garden Design & Build

For this project in Tonbridge, the client arrived with early design ideas from elsewhere but wanted Sustainable Garden Solutions to rework them into something that truly fit the brief, the scope and the real reason for the project. We overlaid those concepts with SGS thinking and re-imagined the layout so it felt unique, fun and properly tailored to the space.
We designed and built smart, modern garden areas around the property to complement the attractive new extensions. The structure came from porcelain paving, decorative stone, crisp edging details and timber pergolas which brought clean lines and a polished finish. Moving away from the house, we intentionally softened the layout so the garden settled into its surroundings. We created distinct planting zones suited to their micro-environments, keeping the balance between modern hard landscaping and a more natural feel.
A key sustainable moment was choosing not to remove a large old concrete path. Rather than introduce unnecessary cost, waste and environmental impact, we carried out remedial repairs and used masonry paint to give it a simple designed finish as you enter the raised beds and veg growing area. It turned something tired into a feature and kept materials in use.
Overall, this was a fun redesign and build: modern where it needed to be, softer where it mattered and shaped by small decisions that made it more sustainable and more personal to the clients.
