Residential
Rose Garden Design & Planting Cliffe

Rose Garden Renewal in Cliffe was a sensitive residential project set in a farmhouse setting where an old rose garden had become tired and worn down. The brief needed a light touch. The garden had to feel subtle but genuinely beautiful, honour the memories connected to the space, and sit naturally alongside the buildings and wider landscape.
Sustainable Garden Solutions focused on giving the garden purpose again by creating a reason to step into it and a clear journey through it. We introduced a mint sandstone patio within a small clearing, edged in brickwork to keep the lines crisp while still feeling traditional. From there, decorative stone paths and ever-edge borders guide movement through the space, shaping how you experience the garden without over-structuring it.
To add a second destination point for outdoor living, we formed an off-shoot fire pit area using a simple paved circle. We also reused a set of corten steel planters found on the old farm and matched them with new ones to bring variation in height and texture. This helped frame the planting in a way that feels both modern and timeless while still respecting the traditional character of the setting.
The final result is an elegant ornamental garden built around warm materials, softer tones, and layered planting that now feels settled and respectful and designed to be enjoyed for years to come. We delivered the full scope from start to finish including soil regeneration, CAD design, hard landscaping, and the complete planting scheme.
