Community Planter Planting in Cuxton

Cuxton Planters in Cuxton is one of the community projects that shaped Sustainable Garden Solutions when we were still finding our feet as an impact-driven company. We chose to put time into volunteering-led work that let us practise our craft while supporting urban greening in everyday public spaces.
On this project, we regenerated a set of community planters, stripping them back and giving them the refresh they needed. We improved the structure, renewed the planting, and brought the planters back to life so they felt cared for again and visibly looked part of the street rather than something overlooked.
Since then, we’ve continued to donate time for ongoing care to keep the planters looking good year after year. That includes keeping weeds under control, shaping shrubs, and handling the small low-maintenance jobs that stop public planting from slipping into forgotten territory.
It’s straightforward work, but it has a real impact. These small green spaces help lift streets, build pride in place, and keep planting visible in the day to day which is a reminder that nature belongs in community spaces as much as it does in private gardens.
