Low-Maintenance Hardscape Garden in Cuxton was about reducing day-to-day upkeep without losing the feeling of a real garden. The customer had practical reasons for wanting a lower maintenance space, so Sustainable Garden Solutions focused on finding the wins in the layout and making sure the end result still felt inviting, green, and usable for outdoor living.

We made smart decisions early by working with the existing levels to reduce excavation and material movement. The layout was then softened by edging key areas with planting so the hardscape didn’t dominate. Planting was treated as a core part of the design, not an afterthought. We selected pollinator-friendly species and set the garden up in a way that lets the customer build confidence and interest in gardening over time.

The hard landscaping included sandstone paving with clean pointing and brickwork detailing. We finished the space with planting, hedging, and screening to keep it structured, private, and welcoming.
