Modern Terrace & Pollinator Planting, Cuxton

For this garden in Cuxton we created a modern outdoor living space that the family can actually use every day. The garden sat on a sloping gradient so We reshaped the layout and carved out a new terrace to form a flat hosting area. That single change transformed how the space works making it far more practical for spending time outdoors and entertaining.

To soften the new levels and give the terrace structure Sustainable Garden Solutions built raised planters and planting beds that frame the space and add depth. We then filled them with pollinator-friendly planting to bring seasonal colour movement and wildlife value while keeping the look clean and modern.

The terrace paving was completed with a brushed-in grout finish which helps keep the surface tidy and practical while still sitting naturally within a planted garden. By flattening the chalk decline and using reclaimed and upcycled materials plus overage from previous projects We delivered a modern garden design and planting scheme that now feels like a true family favourite.
